Technology Coast Partners, LLC. www.tcpmiami.com
(2003-2005) - Founder/Managing Director

Founded and headquartered in Miami, the Americas’ Gateway, Technology Coast Partners (TCP) was created to bridge the best of American enterprise software solutions, with the needs of Latin America’s mid-size businesses.
In September 2003, James and co-founder, Gonzalo Nunez, initiated an effort to create a pan-Latin American value-added distribution network for enterprise software solutions, aimed at the mid-tier businesses. It was clear to them that 1) many U.S. companies were ignoring the region because of concern over economic and political stability, and 2) many Latin American enterprises are realizing that they need to invest more in technology, to meet the competitive threat posed by emerging Asian countries.

By February 2004, they had wholly or majority owned subsidiaries in Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Chile, and Brazil. In addition, they had landed “master” distribution agreements with Epicor, Inc. (a $250M mid-tier ERP software developer) and Loftware Corporation, a 20-year-old developer of enterprise bar-code software solutions.

Within 10 months, TCP had over $500K of license and services revenues for Epicor and Loftware and was named Epicor’s 2004, Partner of the Year, for the MSG products in Latin America.

In April, 2011, Epicor Corporation acquired Technology Coast Partners, as the cornerstone of its Latin American operation.
